The sweeping Sussex Downs are a fabulous setting for sporting activities hang-gliding over the dramatic Devil’s Dyke, golf overlooking the sea, mountain biking and walking.

- Go sailing at Brighton Marina.
- Build-up your thigh muscles with an energetic bike ride along any stretch of the 95 miles of South Downs Way bridleways.
- Try some yoga, tai chi or kung fu at any of Brighton & Hove's masses of healthy venues.
- Start to catch your breath again during a few sets of tennis at Preston Park, St Ann's Well Gardens or Queen's Park.
- Get the adrenaline pumping by launching yourself off a cliff in a hang glider!
- Cool off in the pools of the King Alfred Leisure Centre or the Prince Regent.
- Have a friendly game of petanqué near the remains of the West Pier
- take the kids for a spin on the carousel on Brighton Seafront.
- Once you've completed all of this you'll be ready to enter the South Coast Classic Triathlon!

Enjoy a flutter? Brighton Racecourse has plenty of fixtures or try Goodwood near Chichester, Fontwell near Arundel, and Plumpton, near Lewes. Or if you'd rather go to the dogs, there's Coral Greyhound Stadium in Hove.
