Beachfront

At beach level between the two piers, Brighton's new-look Beachfront is a relaxed, friendly and fun place to shop. A quirky mix of traditional seaside shops and tiny artist's studios, you'll find buckets and spades and jelly shoes next to handmade marionettes and driftwood mirrors. Buy freshly caught seafood outside the Fishing Museum and have it cooked at one of the cafés, follow the modern art trail or buy your own in the Artists' Quarter. Take time out in one of the trendy bars or eat Mexican, Italian and wholefood in one of the Beachfront restaurants. Always buzzing, even in the winter, the Beachfront is one of the reasons Brighton shopping is so different.
